We are looking to acquire and hold (for the long term) residual shares (the unsold equity) in any shared ownership properties.
Our intention is to develop a social impact fund which allows private capital to enter the market and free up equity for housing associations to re-invest into their core business.
From a housing association or local authority perspective this would result in bringing forward capital receipts / full staircasing on any shared ownership properties you have now allowing any capital to be re-invested into increasing social and affordable housing provision. We would envisage (if possible) leaving the management of the units with a local RP.
